Blessing day

We blessed Zachary on Feb.28. His father gave him a beautiful blessing. What a wonderful thing to have a priesthood so close in our lives and the blessings it brings. It was a great day all together after the blessing family and friends came to the house and visited and the kids were happy. This is a good thing since Zach has had some very cranky times. Zach is becoming happier and happier all the time.

Oh the joy of being small. One day I was coming down the stairs and just stopped and bust out in laughter. I had a flood of memories come back of the time I used to fit on my stairs. In fact I remember playing all sorts of games on the stairs with my brother wade.

Our Christmas

This Christmas was not so traditional or maybe it was. As most of you know I have been expecting my baby due date was the 26th. All Christmas plans were in place and I was getting very excited for Christmas morning. I couldn't wait to give Alex and Tony there gifts and enjoy the excitement. We spent Christmas eve at my sisters house eating and hanging out. I had started having contractions that morning but they were not consistent and not progressing. So we continued with our evening and tradition of acting out the Nativity. Well not to long after going to bed we traveled to the hospital and thankfully I did not have to travel by donkey and I had a warm hospital bed instead of a manger and not to mention medication. At 3:48 A.M. Christmas morning my beautiful little boy was born. He came in at 6 lbs. 18" by C-section, there were no complications but he was breech. His name is Zachary Christopher Jaskowick. Zachary meaning: Remembered by God and Christopher means: Christ bearing or one who holds Christ in his heart. We felt this name was very fitting being born on Christmas. For those that didn't get to see how big I really got we did take a picture Christmas eve. Just in time to. Here is the beautiful little guy. More pictures of Zach on http://picasaweb.google.com/Jaskowickpics Zachary was Jaundice and when he came home he had to spend a day on Bilirubin bed to lower his Bilirubin in his body. Needless to say since I was in the hospital on Christmas morning our giving of gifts got put on hold. Alex went to Grandmas with a few gifts and the rest of the family got together and did Christmas lunch and presents then later came to see me and Zachary. After I came home we finally got finish exchanging gifts. I was glad to not miss everything. I was mostly excited for Alex's big gift from his Nana and Grandpa Ed, Gi Gi and Grandpa bill, and mom and dad, A play kitchen. More Christmas Pictures on http://picasaweb.google.com/Jaskowickpics

Halloween Better Late Than Never

Sorry this has taken me so long to post, the last three weeks have been a bit, shall we say painful for me. For those that haven't herd I have been in and out of the hospital with sever pain in my back and side. The diagnosis being kidney stones to Hydronephrosis witch is the way the baby sits inside me it is pinching the track from my kidney to bladder, to finally today we got a straight answer I passed a very large kidney stone. It was the size of the end of my pinkie. The doctor was shocked I passed it. I am feeling so much better today and I pray that things will continue that way through these last few weeks of pregnancy. The baby is still in a breech position so there is a chance I will have to have a c-section but I am going to not stress about that till it gets closer. The doctor said I should do cartwheels. Well enough about me. This year Alex was a knight after our trip to Las Vegas and seeing the show with the knights he was really excited to be a knight and slay the dragons. Trick-Or-Treating with cousins at grandma and grandpa's trunk or treat. Alex's pumpkin, he was so excited about painting it and being able to carry it to the porch. He also helped pick it out when we went to Pumpkin Land with his neighbor friends, they all had so much fun.

Our Las Vegas Trip

In August we drove out to Las Vegas and met Tony's family for a family vacation. We stayed at this great hotel just off the strip. It had a fun island feel to it. Even the pool had a sandy beach going down into the pool. Everyone picked an event they wanted to do Tony and his sister chose indoor skydiving.

Tony's dad loves Nascar racing and they have this company that will let you drive a real race car and do laps around the track. He did 8 lap and was able to get up to about 120mph.

My favorite this was the show Tournament of Kings at the Excalibur hotel. It is a great dinner show full of knights, jousting, sword play and acrobatics. It is all set in medieval times with a fun story, you even have to eat with your hands. Alex loved the show. Every time we passed the hotel he would beg to go see the knights, horses and the wizard in the castle.

That helmet is Alex's souvenir so that he could be a knight also.

Splash Pad

Highland city has a fun place to play in front of their city building and their Library. And the best part is that it is free.

This is Alex's cousin they were having so much fun splashing and covering the fountains. The funniest part of this video is all the men in the background. Apparently it tool all six guys to put that sign on the railing. I had a good laugh watching them all consult each other.
Alex and his cousin love hanging out with each other but I think Alex was pushing his boundaries this time. Each time she would scoot away Alex would scoot closer and closer. Eventually they had scooted all the way to the railing and there was no where else to go.

Fun in the sun, Make-belive, and Baking.

A bunch of the neighbors got together and had a pool sprinkler party.

This cardboard box became Alex's "Not A Box". He is really sitting in his boat. He sailed around the living room in it for about two weeks till it finally got tossed. We all had to watch out for the sharks that he was fending off. there was fishing and a great number of other adventures. It is amazing what a cardboard box and a wonderful imagination can do.

I don't know why but he really wanted to sit in his truck.

When I was young I remember baking with my mom and having so much fun. I have always loved making cookie. My favorite is my aunts chocolate chip cookie recipe. Alex has shown some interest in helping me make food so I decided to make cookies together. Of course there was sugar and flour everywhere but we had a blast, and everyone knows the best part of making cookies is eating the dough.

Alex is Two!

It is hard to believe that I have a two year old, and oh what a joy he is. Alex turned two on June 1st and we had a Birthday party for him on that sunday before. With the room filled with family and friends Alex put on a perfect show. His cusins love to creat thier own gifts they were so cute, Emma made a dinisor out a a rock and after opening all the other gifts he thought that was what he needed to do and couldn't figure out how to open the rock and then for some reason tried to eat it. I wish I could know what goes through childrens minds sometimes.
I took a lot of vidoe to share with those who couldn't be a the party and I have posted them at http://picasaweb.google.com/Jaskowickpics

While we were all in Denver my family was able to take a new family photo. It has been a while and there had been a few new additions and it is finlay up to date. Well that is until December. Yes for those who haven't heard I am pregnat.
